Private Lessons in the Southern Tier

About Gavin’s Teaching:

Gavin is a very passionate music educator. He is currently the 7th-12th grade Instrumental Music teacher in Bath Central School District. In this role he teaches the middle school and high school concert and jazz bands, as well as weekly lessons for all instruments. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College.

Gavin firmly believes that private lessons are an essential experience for musicians looking to improve at their craft. In private lessons, Gavin is able to offer the individualized attention to each student that they may not receive elsewhere. Through lessons, each student will be encouraged to grow through falling in love with the process of improving and the music they are making.

Students of Gavin have all had great success on their instruments. Many students from elementary to high school age have received high scores on their NYSSMA solos and placed in the All-County or higher bands. On top of private lessons, Gavin has also served as a clinician for many school districts across the Greater Rochester region. At Ithaca College, Gavin was heavily involved in their Trombone Day, serving as a trombone choir conductor and educator.
